Taets Art and Event Park is growing! That is why we are immediately looking for an experienced all-round account manager with a Sales & Events background.

What are you going to do?

TAETS Art and Event Park has a number of historic buildings where different types of events are held. Meetings for 10 people, dinners for 2,000 guests or a public festival for 10,000 visitors: no two days are the same at TAETS. As an account manager you are the first point of contact for (potential) customers: you give inspiring tours and discuss with the client which interpretation best suits her/his event. Moreover, with your knowledge and expertise you also know how to bring the related products and services to the attention in a smart way. You give your customer new ideas to take her/his event to the next level. Thanks to your enthusiasm and involvement, the deal is quickly completed to everyone’s satisfaction.

As soon as you conclude the contract with the customer, you adequately transfer the event and all discussed wishes to your colleagues in the operational team. During the event you are the ambassador of “your” customer and you create the right customer satisfaction level. All in all, I am responsible for a successful event, sustainable customer loyalty, margin monitoring from budget to subsequent calculation, final evaluation and financial settlement.

It is important that you see, explore and create opportunities in the (international) B2B conference and events market. In addition, you have connections with organizers in the events industry and with international top brands. You are good at having/building and maintaining a (regional) network.

You work at a unique location

Taets Art and Event Park is located on the Hembrugterrein, a monumental industrial estate on the Amsterdam ring road. A mysterious, historic and inspiring place with national monuments located on the Amsterdam North Sea Canal.

The secluded location of the site makes Taets unique. The five properties that Taets manages; Building 41 (Gallery & Theatre), Building 43 (Event Area & Meeting Area), Hall 1 (Black Box and White Box), Building 408 and the Glass Pavilion can be used separately, but can also be rented exclusively.

The various buildings and adjoining outdoor spaces offer endless possibilities. From (international) product presentations, TV recordings, conferences, break-out sessions to trade fairs and festive (outdoor) events for 50 to approximately 10,000 people.

Your profile

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level obtained through experience or training (eg Hotel School, Event Management or Commercial Economics).
  • At least three years of sales experience in the event industry or related industry.
  • Flexible working hours and days associated with a function in the event industry.
  • Commercially driven and familiar with margin monitoring.
  • Convincing in your negotiations and have good organizational skills.
  • You are a networker and act customer-oriented.
  • You can work independently and dare to take decisions and responsibilities.
  • Mastery of English as a second language, knowledge of a third language is an advantage, you are internationally minded.
  • Experience with proactive recruitment / acquisition of clients in this industry.
  • Knowledge of social media, sales and (online) marketing techniques.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Google Drive and working with Apple environments (Macbook, iPhone, etc.)

This is what we offer

  • A challenging, independent and responsible position in an inspiring working environment.
