Alexander Vogels can be described as a lyrical abstract painter. Vogels gets his inspiration from the lives of primitive peoples in Australia, Africa and South-America. His great models in painting are Kandinsky and especially Ger Lataster.
His inspirations give shape to his work, but his way of painting makes him captivating. He makes use of warm colours on large canvasses. Frequently returning elements are the ladder, the mask and the vehicle.
